Group gîtes :
Group gîtes are particularly useful for groups of friends or families wanting a large place to stay together for a weekend or longer holiday. They can also be used for residential seminars, class trips, or group sports courses.

Stop-over gîtes
This type of gîte is primarily designed for people undertaking long distance treks (hikers, horse riders, cyclists) wanting overnight accommodation before continuing on their way. They are often located close to long distance footpaths/tracks.

Many owners can accommodate both groups and stop-over guests. The Gîtes de France quality label is your guarantee of specific standards of comfort (1, 2 or 3 "épis' rating) and adherence to a national charter. They all have living areas, sleeping accommodation in bedrooms or dormitories, with comfortable beds (bed linen is sometimes supplied), communal or private washing facilities. Some gîtes offer the choice of a fully equipped kitchen (self-catering) or a catering service supplied by the owner (meals, packed lunches, inns, etc.)
