DescriptifGîte de Mons-en-Laonnois : Enjoy a holiday with family or friends in the delightful, unspoilt setting of the countryside around Laon. Nature lovers will relish the gîte with its lovely, extensive grounds and a number of footpaths on the doorstep. If you wish to go fishing I can explain all about the private lake and the many fish it contains (no extra charge). You can also spend a day at Center Parcs or one of the other leisure centres nearby or simply relax and unwind in this comfortable and pleasant gîte.

FishingKeen fishermen love to come to the Aisne for its well-stocked rivers and numerous, man-made lakes. We can offer specially adapted accommodation with fishing nearby. Gîte owners are there to answer questions, provide information and offer suitable accommodation equipment (fishing tackle store, fridge for keeping bait, etc... Do not hesitate to contact them if you need more information.Fancy a fishing trip with everything laid on? Monsieur Woillez, your host, can provide a boat and fishing tackle (rods, landing nets, etc.) to lure the fish. His lake has carp, pike, roach and bream. A 23 pound carp was recently caught there! Monsieur Woillez is also happy to answer your questions and give information on other places to fish in the area.

There is a wide range of trees, mainly local species: maples, sycamores, lindens, alders, poplars, oaks, various pines … a truly romantic park of 22 hectares with a lake (8,500 sq. m.), perfect for relaxing with its boat and places to sit and rest. There are roe deer, pheasants, wild boar, herons, buzzards. This well-tended, unspoilt setting is reserved for people staying in the gîte and charming guesthouse.

Yellow and blue waymarks will lead you through superb villages, such as Vorges (a listed site), on this unforgettable 12 km route!
