DescriptifLe Soldat Carouge : If you fancy staying in a gîte that could feature in a 'beautiful homes' magazine, this is for you! The owners have decorated each room with great flair. You will love the vaulted bathroom and tastefully restored furniture. The gîte is close to the Chemin des Dames, a famous site from World War I, and the romantic ruins of Vauclair Abbey. Walkers and hikers have a good choice of tracks nearby. Welcome to Roucy, a charming village peacefully set in tranquil countryside, and to our gîte in tastefully and lovingly converted outbuildings. Its décor is a combination of contemporary objects and period furniture bought in sales and markets. There are a number of important historical sites nearby: the Chemin des Dames, Vauclair abbey, the Caverne du Dragon... and hiking/riding tracks on the spot.
Votre environnementLe Soldat Carouge : Renovated house on 3 levels at centre of village 32km from Laon and 25km from Reims. Private fenced garden with terrace (80 sq. m.). Fenced garden (1,300 sq. m.) shared with owners (swings). Garden level: kitchen opening onto lounge/living room. Level -1: 2 bedrooms (three 90x200cm single beds) (140x200cm double bed), WC. Level -2: bathroom (bath and shower). Beds made on arrival. No charge for bed linen. Towels: 4€/person. Electric heating. Extra charge for firewood (1st basketful free). Telephone with restricted use (emergency numbers and receive calls only).

Swimming poolIf you are renting one of these gîtes or staying in one of these guesthouse, you enjoy free access to the swimming pool located on the property. All swimming pools conform to current French safety standards. In some cases the pool is exclusively reserved for your use, in others it must be shared with the owners and/or with other paying guests. Access to the pool may be restricted to certain times/days and the pool may only be open for part of the year.
