DescriptifChambres de Dorengt : Régine and Ludovic welcome you to the Ferme de Ribeaufontaine, an attractive working farm in peaceful countryside 11km from Guise. Its solid walls were constructed in the 18th century by monks from the Abbey of Prémontré. Pass through the gateway and the family house comes into view.
Votre environnementChambres de Dorengt : 3 comfortable, charming double guest rooms with individual décor. Room 1 (double bed 160x200, double sofabed), room 2 (two 90x200cm beds, cot available, private, non-adjoining shower room & WC), room 3 (round bed 200cm in diameter, en-suite shower room & WC). Lounge/dining room. Private parking and garden. Guests can enjoy the lovely fresh air, fishing from the banks of the lake. Its owner, Madame Vanhoutte, has converted a set of old farm buildings to provide an outdoor school, stalls and leafy paddocks. An experienced rider herself, she will be happy to advise on horseback outings in the area!

She knows this country very well and can provide route descriptions and topo-guides.

Don't hesitate to contact the owner for more detailed information.The Thiérache offers many lovely, quiet cycle trips for cyclists and mountain bikers. Leaving from the gîte, follow the little road to Le Nouvion-en-Thiérache then cycle along "Le Nouvionnais" trail (30 km) through forests and hedge-trimmed meadows. Stop off to buy regional produce - Maroilles cheese and local aperitif - from producers in Le Nouvion-en-Thiérache. Back at the gîte, you can clean your bike (shower kit available) before leaving it in the dedicated bike shed. The owner, Madame Vanhoutte, can advise on other cycle routes and provide route descriptions and topo-guides, if required.
